About Us
The Virtual Energy Incubator (VEI) is sponsored by the Ben Franklin Technology Partnership of Central and Northern Pennsylvania to promote the development of early stage companies with energy and clean technology. It is rapidly becoming the premier community in the region for companies, investors, and technologists to interact. The VEI staff provides valuable services and information on energy technology, markets, and business.
The Incubator is organized as a virtual community to better serve the thirty-two county Ben Franklin CNP region. The VEI uses the latest in computer software to link all of the companies and participants with desktop video conferencing and other communications.
The VEI is dedicated to providing service to its tenant companies with an experience field staff. The emphasis is on the companies, not on facilities or buildings. The object is to provide management assistance to the energy companies that have received investments from Ben Franklin or are otherwise important to Ben Franklin's new state mandate to develop energy technologies. The VEI also links its tenant companies to resources and expertise available beyond the thirty-two county region.
